The Ws help Meg to realize that she has to be the one to save Charles Wallace from IT. Why does Meg say it has to be her?

Meg says that it has to be her because Charles Wallace understands her, she is closest to him. Their father has been away for a very long time, and Charles Wallace doesn't really know him (Charles Wallace was a baby when Mr. Murry left). She also says that she understands it cannot be Calvin for the same reason..... he hasn't known Charles Wallace long enough. Thus, she is the only one who can save her brother.
