Examples of metaphors from chapter 31

An example of metaphor in Chapter 31 can be found in the way that Mariam describes Laila's apperance in her home. Laila personality is said to be like a "creaking bedspring", as well as similar to the "splashing of water." From this we can infer that Laila is somewhat annoying to Mariam, as well as rather refreshing.
