A Streetcar Named Desire

Scene 3

Critics have said that the "Poker Scene" (scene 3) "cements Stanley's identity as a villain." Do you agree? Why or why not?

I don't know if villain is the right word. Stanley is certainly emotionally unstable. Stanley turns the radio off by throwing the radio out of the window, loses his mind and goes after Stella. I think this underscores Stanley's very limited emotional capabilities and fragile sense of self-awareness.
