Letting the censors take away the rape scene would diminsh the climax and resolution of the play? I chose to agree with the statement but how would i explain it?

Consider that the rape scene adds complexities to both characters of Blanche and Stanley. We see the manipulation and insincerity of Stanley and the vulnerable emotionally dysfunctionality Blanche.
