Why do you think Min's anger loses it's edge after Tree-Ear explains that stealing would make him no better than a dog?

I think Min can understand the status of a dog, which was pretty low in this cultural context. There were no Lassie dogs in 12th-century Korea.. I think Tree-Eear reminded Min just how low stealing is.
