Why does Finny invent "blitzball" and how is it representative of him?

Finny names his game of blitzball after the German blitzkrieg. This is the tactic the Germans used in WW2 to attack overwhelm their enemies in battle. Finny is all about the element of surprise. The game represents his spontaneity and larger than life persona.
