Describe the dramatic incident that happens in the tree at the end of the chapter.

To start off their opening meeting of the Super Summer Suicide Society, Finny proposes simultaneous jump (jumping off the tree together). Once Gene and Finny have climbed the tree, Gene's knees bend and the limb bounces. This causes Finny to lose his balance, and he falls to the river bank. Gene, feeling a bit superior at this point jumps into the river unconcerned about Finny's condition.
