What seems to be bothering Ruth?

Ruth appears to be annoyed with Walter for a number of reasons. I think the biggest reason is that she is so tired and overwhelmed with her domestic duties that she is annoyed at Walter's continuous talk about using the welfare check to invest in a liquor store.
