Beah still had the emotional scars of war much after he was removed from the situation. Fitting into society again is know easy task when you consider his childhood was ripped away from him and he had to face the horrors of war. Beah lost his innocence and his prime developmental years to unspeakable violence and abuse. He will always be haunted by war.
