Scrooge is what we would consider a dynamic character. He truly changes at the end of the play. He has had a spiritual and emotional shift that allows him change his ways. He is empathetic and joyful instead of self-absorbed and nasty. He buys the big goose for the Cratchits and gives money to charity.
