Why are children, particularly Junior Spies, so quick to denounce older people, even their parents?

Kids, like the Parson's children, are indoctrinated from an early age to act as spies. They are encouraged to become "child heroes" by turning in people, especially their parents. This instills a sense of constant fear and paranoia among adults.
