    Describe Frodo’s character arc in this section. What makes him a heroic character?

    Like Samwise, Frodo has had a number of opportunities to show courageousness, wisdom and other heroic qualities during the Quest. But at this stage in the narrative, Frodo's most heroic virtue is his propensity to sacrifice his own well-being, and patiently bear the burden of the One Ring, in order to advance the cause of the Free Peoples of Middle-Earth. Moreover, unlike Aragorn, Frodo must face these challenges on a near continuous basis, and they tax the very limits of his endurance.
