Chapter 3 - Section 3.6 - Graphing Piecewise-Defined Functions and Shifting and reflecting Graphs of Functions - Exercise Set - Page 183: 54

Answer

The main difference between graphing a piecewise function and graphing a normal function is that you must consider domain.

Work Step by Step

First, find the domain for which the function is applicable. Once you do this, graph the function like normal, but only graph it for the given domain. If you are having a hard time doing this, graph the entire function. Then, once you have graphed it, erase the function for all values x except for the domain provided for that piece of the function.
