Students read Part IV.
Common Core Objectives
• Reading well: appreciating the next “scene” or “stage setting” in the drama, which features less action but positions the characters for the upcoming climax.
• Thinking well: using the discussion questions and analysis of character interactions to identify the themes of loneliness and inequality in seemingly dissimilar characters.
• Speaking well: developing oral skills through vocabulary development, debate, and group discussion.
• Listening well: developing a taste for good grammar and strong diction by closely examining other students’ representations of these characters and evaluating oral arguments in the classroom activities.
