David's is a sad story. He is a kind person who doesn't have family back home. He used to man a foodcart to make ends meet. Albert says, "He always told me […] 'At least if I go, there'll be no one that'll miss me.'" Albert is David's friend and both are kindred spirits. Albert vows to never let David's memory die.
