I think that anyone who has a near death experience looks at life differently. Cole is experiencing humility and vulnerability for the first time. Cole is beginning to see what life is about for the first time. I don't think Cole has yet found his meaning to life but he is taking the first step.

i think that yes cole has found a reason to live because cole has seen the beauty , trust, and wants to live and not die right now. It mostly depends on yourself of your thinking, there is no right or wrong answer to this question.HOPE THAT HELPED!!!
