The blanket symbolizes Boo Radley's kindness and the misinterpretation the children had about his character.

I think it might symbolizes that there is good in places you wouldn't normally find it. Because boo radley is kind of a mean guy (or that's just what everybody thinks of him) but it turns out that he is actually pretty nice.
