Why does Ekwefi prize her daughter Ezinma so highly?

Ezinma is an only child, thus Ekwefi's favorite.... she is one of Okonkwo's favorites as well. Her survival makes her very special, as Ekwefi's other children with Okonkwo have all died. Note, although Ezinma has survived, she is a very sickly child. Her mother prizes her life.
