The conflict between the narrator and her husband is quickly established when they arrive at their summer home. The narrator didagrees about her diagnosis and doean't believe she's sick.... her husband is convinced otherwise. The narrator loves to write.... her husband forbids her freom doing so. The narrator is set up in the nursery, barred windows and all..... she hates the room and detests the wallpaper..... her husband refuses to allow her another room. Thus, as you can see, the narrator and her husband are in conflict about everything. Unfortunately, the narrator's husband is in charge.
