With the help of the jail warden's daughter, Toad dresses up as awasher woman and escapes the prison.

What a good question, Taha! In order to discover the answer you must read chapter 8 or ask someone to read it to you. It's all too easy for me to write "Toad gains the sympathy of the gaoler's daughter, who helps him to escape disguised as a washerwoman"; which would give you the answer to your question but it would rob you of the joy you would feel from Grahame's beautiful writing. The gift of language is a treasure, one which is ignored or even spurned by too many folks these days. Quite frankly I'm very surprised and impressed that you're reading this great work; your phrasing of your question clearly indicates that you'd benefit immeasurably by exposure to literature. Wonderful books like this will enrich your mind and spirit, will help you become more thoughtful and expressive and will lift you up away, way above your peers. 'Specially above doze who care only 'bout dey bitches & dey benjamins.
