PLS help me for the test

Ben's wife Christy "knew Ben was the kind of person who got involved with things. Not just involved, but utterly absorbed in them to the point where he tended to forget that the rest of the world existed." How is this description of Ben shown to be true later on in the novel? Give TWO examples from the novel to support your answer.

Ben gets carried away in his own experiment. He looses sight of his original educational goals and gets carried away as leader of the Wave. It takes retribution from his colleagues and his wife to find perspective again.
