What does the discovery of the wells with mechanical noises coming from them indicate about this world?
I have no idea what the answer is and i need it ASAP!

The discovery indicates there are two distinctly different groups of people living in this world.... one above ground, one below ground. Also, unlike the rudimentary civilization above, the Underworld was more technologically advanced.
