Robert Cohn is a Jewish novelist with low self esteem. Hemmingway, through the narrator, sees Cohn as a bit of a "patsy". He is dominated by women and takes allot of abuse. Robert does not have many friends and the ones he has enjoy seeing him humiliated. As for examples I encourage you to look over the text or follow my link to GradeSaver for more detail.
