At Lily’s first meeting of the Daughters, August retells the story of Our Lady of Chains. After the story, the Daughters begin dancing, and then each of them slowly walks up to the statue of Mary to touch her heart. They sit in the presence of the Mary statue and begin to say "Hail, Mary's. Lilly feels compelled to join in. She wants to be part of the group and she feels the energy.
