Chapter 1

Mary Lennox is a ten year old girl. She is deeply troubled, and rather unlikeable, but she's also had a rough, young life. Mary is very spoiled and has been raised by servants, which means she's had little attention from her parents. After her parents die, her world is turned upside down, and she is removed from her home in India and sent to England to live with family.
