Why do you think the Greasers countinue to fight the Socs when they know they can't win?

The two gangs live in a vicious circle that thrives on conflict and challenge. It's part of who they are, and it's what they do..... the don't know how to step out of the circle and continue to hold onto what they believe is their honor.
