The Outsiders

In reading the Outsiders it becomes obvious that fighting doesn't change situations or lessen pain. How can the Greasers go about making some positive changes in their lives? How can they better themselves?

I think Greasers like Darry's family are already doing their best. They are close, they watch each others back and they love each other. Conformity to some sort of representation of a Soc family isn't a good thing. The other Greasers should take a page from Pony, Darry, Soda and the rest of that gang. Priorities of family and love should come first.
