Ponyboy is very sensitive. He likes going to movies alone. He is also very good at school and enjoys learning. Pony is also a bit of a romantic at heart. He likes sunsets. Pony is also able to see past social stereotypes. He often ponders if the SOCS and Greasers are really so different.
