After the Trojan War, it is Odysseus' greatest wish to return home. Unfortunately, he has angered both Poseidon and Helios, who do their best to delay his journey.... and they do a great job of it. Polyphemus captures him, and Odysseus tricks his way out of the cave, blinding Polyphemus in the process..... Polyphemus, in turn, calls on Poseidon to punish him. Odysseus gets himself into trouble again when his crew kills and eats Helios's cattle, something that is forbidden and leads to the death of his men. Odysseus also spends seven years on Calypso's island.
