Liberalism- Cited government hypocrisy. Condemned government celebration of equlaity and freedom in a racist society.

Conservatism- Conservatives blamed liberals for pushing blacks ahead of their proper station in life and placing blacks in positions they were unprepared to fill, a circumstance that allegedly contributed to their downfall.

Radicalism- The Radicals blamed the "priviledged class" for conspiring to keep poor whites and blacks locked into subordinate political and ecomonic position.
