What is the final test?

Soon Thomas leads the Gladers into the Maze and they face off against a small army of Grievers. About half of the Gladers die in the fight but Thomas, Teresa, and Chuck make their way down the hole and are able to punch in the code and shut down the Maze. A door opens nearby.
