Chapter 14 The Triumph of the Witch

Were you surprised by the witch saying she was still going to kill Edmund? Why/Why not?

“Aslan…roused himself with a shake of his magnificent mane.” (pg 158) Why early on in this chapter would C.S Lewis use alliteration to draw attention to Aslan’s mane?

I was not surprised. The White Witch merely used Edmund as a tool to get what she wanted. She had no use for him other than taking advantage of him.
