Why did Algernon take his aunt into another room to discuss music?

Algernon take his aunt into another room to discuss music because while both are speaking about music, his friend Mr Worthing that is attracted with Miss Fairfax, can propose to Gwendolen. Also,as a consequence of that help action, Algy will dinner with his friend Ernest, like this, he can avoid to be with aunt Augusta/Lady Bracknell. True?
