Question on The Hobbit

Given what you might infer about the entire journey in the hobbit, explain why JRR Tolkien started the journey at a place called "The Green Dragon Inn"?

Possibly, the Green Dragon Inn alluded to Smaug's important presence in the novel. Dragons are things we often think about without ever believing that we will encounter one. The name of the inn is likely an example of foreshadowing.
