Why does minny feel the satisfaction that she does in preparing a BLT for Johnny foote

When Johnny discovers Minny has been doing the cooking he embraces it.... he wants his wife to be happy, which warms Minny to the core. Making the sandwich is satisfying becuase it's appreciated.
