How do starr's feeling about DeVante change over the course of this chapter

In Chapter Nine, Starr learns that DeVante's time in prison was a result of his protecting King from a weapons charge. He went to prison instead of King, and as a result, King allowed him to leave the gang. After hearing his story, and actually addressing the things that bother her about DeVante, Starr comes to the realization that her father is right.... DeVante needs help.... not hate.
