Daisy is cold and unfeeling. When you look back at what we've learned about her during the course of the novel, it's easy to see we were right about her the first time. Daisy is silly, selfish, and has no compassion for anyone. She is incapable of real love..... and really has no idea what real love is...... even in regard to motherhood. Her daughter is just one more thing to play house with.
