The Great Gatsby

Gatsby suggests a spur of the moment trip to ‘Coney Island’ or a swim in his pool. What does this tell us about him and how he is feeling?

From this, we can infer that Gatsby is feeling upbeat and excited about the prospect of meeting Daisy again. He's spent years planning their meeting and anticipating their reunion.... the knowledge that it's about to happen brings him happiness. He wants to have fun.
