Wow, I've never heard them compared, the context of each is so different. I suppose they are both self-made independent men. They both had a thing for a particular woman. Both these women (Abigail and Daisy) ended up being toxic to these guys. Both men had a reserved quietness about them. Other than that we are talking two really different situations.
