What is the significance of Daisy crying while looking at Gatsby's shirts?

There was a time she wouldn't marry Gatsby because he didn't own the types of shirts he now shows her...... she sobs because they are such fine examples of lavish excess. Although Gatsby's actions are seen as vulgar, Daisy is moved to tears at his display of wealth.

They also represent what she lost--in her shallowness, she sees the opulence as a life that she missed. She could have been wealthy and in love, instead of just wealthy.
