Gatsby says Daisy's voice is full of money. He can hear that type of tone in her voice, that was the inexhaustible charm that rose and fell in it, the jingle of it, the cymbals' song of it. . . . High in a white palace the king's daughter, the golden girl. Gatsby doesn't come from money so he can tell the entitled voice of money so accustomed to getting everything without struggle.
