Why did Jeannette think that her father was "perfect"? Do you agree with her opinion? Why or why not?

When Jeannette was a little girl, like most little girls, she believed her father to be perfect. He was fun, adventurous, and loving.... he was a dreamer. As she got older, this changed. She saw the drinking, the situations he put their family in, and his failure to provide his children with any kind of stability. She no longer saw him as perfect, and even encouraged her mother to leave him. As an outsider readering her story.... I would never have considered him perfect.
