What did Jonas notice different about the Giver's dwelling?

Jonas noticed that each of the spacious rooms was different than in his own family dwelling. Things were fancy.... the fabrics on chairs were thicker, the table legs were not straight but shaped and curved with small decorations at the foot. The bed was draped, and Jonas had never seen so many books in his life.
