Why did Danglars, Caderousse,and Fernand conspire against Dantes?

Dantes three enemies enemies include Danglars, Fernand Mondego, and Caderousse. Danglars will become captain of the Pharaon once Dantes is removed. Fernand is romantically interested in Dantes' fiance, Mercedes, and hopes to pursue her once Dantes is gone, and Caderousse is merely jealous and vindictive.
