The Knight is one impressive guy. He's the alpha male of Christendom with the chivalry to match. Chaucer notes that he has never spoken an ill word to anyone. On the pilgrimage, he is constantly trying to broker peace between the squabbling pilgrims, like the host and Pardoner, as well as opposes fakery like the Pardoners counterfeit relics.
