The book thief

Liesel sees what Hitler wants. She sees Max's suffering and she sees what he wants Germans to become. Liesel observes the march of starving humiliated Jewish prisoners; she sees what monsters many Germans have become because of Hitler. Liesel blames Hitler for Hans's sufferings and ultimately the sufferings of the human race at this time.
