Why does Huck at first enjoy living with Pap? Why does he change his mind?

At first Pap offers a life of hunting and no "civilized" rules. Later Pap's frequent drunken rants and abusive behaviour make Huck want to leave. Pap locks Huck in the cabin when he goes to town to get drunk. Huck resolves to escape.
