Fight Scenes

I was noticing Obi Wan Kenobi was losing in a fight to Darth Maul, jumps up and out of a hole without getting sliced/killed, lands on his feet without getting sliced/killed and kills Darth Maul.

In Revenge of the sith, Anakin is losing to Obi Wan and jumps from the lava to land..and gets destroyed.

This seems to bother me!! This trouble anybody else?

I'm not a fan of the prequels but I'm thinking the reality of fight scenes are skewed to what the director wants you to notice or, in this case, not notice.
