How is Romeo and juliet's death have to do with fate

In my opinion, fate had nothing to do with their death. Poor choices, questionable planning, miscommunication, and poor timing all contributed to their deaths.... they were just a young couple in love.... thinking ahead and demonstrating patience wasn't their strong suit.
