- Mrs. Logan pastes new pages in the textbooks

- Cassie cries for T.J. and the land

- Mrs. Logan gets fired

- Big Ma makes Cassie apologize to Lillean Jean

- Papa brings home Mr. Morrison

- Papa starts the cotton on fire

- T.J. robs the Barnett store with R.W. and Melvin

- Logan children dig a hole in the road

- The mortgage is called in for the Logans

- T.J.'s family is thrown around when men( The Night Riders) want to hang/lynch T.J.
